Live football: Thiago Motta between Juventus and Milan in the summer

Corriere dello Sport newspaper said that Milan manager Giorgio Forlani believes that Thiago Motta is the ideal replacement for current coach Stefano Pioli, while Cristiano Giuntoli is angry about rumors linking the former Italian international player to the Juventus job.

Bologna are surprisingly in the race for the top four in Serie A, and with the former midfielder's contract expiring in June, several clubs are said to be interested in securing his services.

According to the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Thiago Motta is Forlani’s most prominent candidate to succeed Pioli as Milan coach at the end of the season, although Antonio Conte is also a strong candidate for this role.

Milan places Motta as a priority, and Juventus does not deny the connection

The newspaper stated in its report that Giuntoli, the sporting director of Juventus, also indirectly admitted that Juventus was searching for Motta’s availability, because the Bianconeri’s executive director did not deny the rumours, but rather felt angry when he was asked to confirm the talks with the 41-year-old coach.

The newspaper claimed in its report that Giuntoli does not want to destabilize Juventus with coach Allegri, who has a contract until 2025 at Allianz Stadium.
